Waterford vs DLR Waves
SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division
RSC, 15:00 Saturday 29th March

This Saturday will see a first ever competitive meeting between DLR Waves and Waterford. This is the first season Waterford FC have played in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.

This is the first competitive meeting between the sides so there is no head to head record.

Opposition View: Waterford

This will only be Waterfods second time playing a home competitive game. Last week they picked up their first ever win while beating Sligo Rovers 0-2 away from home. They will be looking to secure their first ever home points.

Some of the notable players in the Waterford squad are former Wexford goalkeeper Maeve Williams and former Cork star Danielle Burke.

Olivia Shannon scored the sides first ever goal in the league last week and got a second from the penalty spot.

DLR Waves Squad News

DLR Waves will be eager to pick up a first point of the season having put in an improved performance last Saturday, after two disapointing performances to start the season.

Injuries

Shannon Coady has recovered from injury to be in contention for a place in the matchday squad. Chloe McCarthy is still suspended having received a straight red card against Treaty United.

With the absence of Jess Gleeson it is expected that goalkeeper Eve Badana will wear the captains armband on Saturday.
