Heading into the third round of the league season DLR Waves are looking for an improved display, but will have to do it against tough opposition. The fixtures between The Waves and Shelbourne were rearranged this week with Saturday’s game now taking place at the UCD Bowl at 15:00.

Shelbourne were 0-4 winners away to Waterford last week in their first game of the season. They haven’t dropped points in the league against DLR Waves since 2022. Shels won the FAI Cup last season and were runners-up of the league. They began this season by winning the President’s Cup.
A former Wave is one of Shelbourne’s prolific goalscorers with Kate Mooney leading the line. Noelle Murray has already scored twice this season, and league legend Pearl Slattery captains the side from centre back.

The Waves struggled to create any chances last week against Treaty having conceded 5 in the opening game of the season. Coming up against one of the strongest sides in the league, DLR know a better overall performance is imperative.
