DLR Waves are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Niamh Richardson. Niamh is the 4th new signing ahead of the 2025 season for The Waves.
Richardson signs from Peamount United where she experienced success underage, and also featured in senior squads. Niamh was part of the last seasons Peas squad that travelled to Croatia in the 2024 UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers, which saw the 2023 League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division Champions finish 2nd in their first round bracket. The goalkeeper is an underage Ireland international.
Richardson’s arrival comes at an important time for DLR Waves as goalkeeper Rugile Auskalnyte suffered an injury in the off-season which rules her out for the season. The signing provides depth in the goalkeeper position with Niamh set to act as competition to regular starter Eve Badana for a place between the posts on match days.
