DLR Waves Supporters are an independent fan group dedicated to promoting and supporting The Waves at home and away. The best way to stay up to date with the supporters group is to follow our Instagram page, which is regularly updated with the latest transfer news, match previews, results, supporter initiatives and other content. On match days, we have a presence at most games and decorate the ground with DLR Waves Supporters banners and flags. For larger games, like the Dublin Derby with Bohemians or a cup game, we distribute hand flags and GAA style blue woolen plaits to fans at the gate to make our supporters more visible and back the players on the pitch.

During each season, we produce a large volume of DLR Waves stickers to promote the club and women’s football in our communities. We also work with the club to increase awareness of the football team in the Dun Laoghaire area, such as the DLR Waves photo exhibit in the DLR Lexicon held in October-November 2023. We also work with the club to improve attendance and sponsorship.

The DLR Waves Supporters group is committed to equality on the pitch, in the terraces and throughout society. In this regard, we occasionally produce anti-racism and anti-discrimination stickers and materials to celebrate International Women’s Day, Pride or other similar events. We welcome new DLR Waves fans from all backgrounds and we are committed to making the UCD Bowl a safe space for women’s football fans of all ages.
