Waves Beaten By Unbeaten Shels

Shelbourne 4-0 DLR Waves
Tolka Park, Saturday 27th July

Despite some positives DLR Waves were well beaten by Shelbourne. The goals came from Pearl Slattery and Noelle Murray in the first half, and Christie Gray and Katie McCarn in the second half.

The Waves were generally good in the first half but two defensive lapses allowed Shelbourne to take a 2-goal cushion into the break. Shels were the better team in the second half and pushed on to make the win comfortable.

For The Waves Shannon Coady made her debut in place of the recently departed Michelle Doonan. In goal Eve Badana pulled off a few good saves to keep the Waves in the game until the latter stages.
