This Saturday DLR Waves are back at the UCD Bowl to face Peamount United. The Waves picked up a good win in the first round of the cup last week against Whitehall Rangers, and will be looking to build momentum before the quarter-finals in two weeks. Earlier in the season The Waves were impressive in drawing 2-2 with the 2023 league winners, with Rugile Auskalnyte saving a penalty.

There will be a familiar face at the UCD Bowl, as Michelle Doonan is leading the line for Peas having recently departed The Waves. Other former Waves players playing for Saturday’s opposition include Kerri Letmon, Aoife Brophy, Carla McManus, Avril Brierley, Ciara Maher, and Jetta Berrill.
The Peamount squad includes one of the leagues best midfielders Karen Duggan, former Ireland international Niamh Reid Burke, and talented young attacker Ellen Dolan. With 5 goals Dolan is their joint top scorer along with the now departed Erin McLaughlin.

As with last week Clionadh Donnelly (concussion) and Freya Roche (foot) will miss the game through injury.
Eve Conheady is available for selection after recovering from an ankle injury.

DLR Waves are eager for a good performance to carry into the cup. DLR Waves have been drawn to face Sligo Rovers in the Quarter-Finals of Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup and will hope to build momentum for that game on Saturday August 24th.
