DLR Waves is a Women’s Football Team playing in the FAI League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division. The club fields teams at Senior, u19 and u17 and has partnerships with local community clubs to feed into its pathway u16 team playing in the MGL u16 Premier Division. The club is supported by the 8 community clubs that feed into the pathway for elite football. The club has its roots in the DLR Community and has close ties with UCD, formerly played as UCD Waves. Currently over 60% of the players come from DLR community clubs. The Waves home ground is UCD Bowl in Belfield, kindly supplied by UCD Sports and Fitness. UCD Bowl or The Bowl is a multi-purpose sports stadium located in the eastern county of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. The club trains in a new dedicated 4G facility in Cherrywood supplied by DLR County Council.
